D'Angelo Danté Russell is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association. He was chosen as McDonald's American in 2014 and played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes team. He was the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft of the Los Angeles Lakers. Playing the point guard, he was named into the NBA Rookie's Second Team with the Lakers in 2016. He was exchanged with the Brooklyn Nets in 2017 and received his first All-Star selection on 2019. During the 2019 season, he joined the Golden State Warriors through a signing and trading agreement, and was then traded to the Timberwolves at the 2020 trade term
