He is best known for his starring role as California Highway Patrol Officer Francis Llewelyn "Ponch" Poncherello in the crime drama CHiPs, which set from 1977 to 1983. He later became known for his work in Spanish TV shows, reality appearances and commercial news shows, as well as regular voiceovers for the 2021 adult series Sealab.
